Hi all,

 

Anyone using the UWP version of AirServer? Due to AirServer no longer supporting their Windows 10/Desktop Edition version, and in increasing number of YouTube/video playback/performance issues, we have been looking at moving to the UWP version.

 

They provide the guide here: https://support.airserver.com/support/solutions/articles/43000596797-mass-deploying-airserver-windows-10-desktop-edition to avoid the Microsoft Store requirement, however I cannot seem to get this to work, I just get the below error:

I have had a ticket open with support since August, but they are not responding. Anyone else managed to deploy it successfully - or seen that sort of error before and figured it out?

You need the VCLibs package installed as well. You should be able to download them from here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/developer/visualstudio/cpp/libraries/c-runtime-packages-desktop-bridge. I've not installed this version of AirServer but here is my command to install the Remote Desktop store app so you should be able to copy it and apply it to your environment.

Thanks for that - have tried adding the VCLibs manually beforehand but doesn't appear to make a difference;

By the looks of it you need a newer version of VClibs - 14.0.30035.0

How did you get on? We've come across some issues with the MSI version this week so might be looking at deploying the store version instead.

Still no joy - can't seem to find a newer VCLibs version, and still no response from support. Very frustrating.

I'm sticking with the MSI version though as there are too many things that need customising separately with the store version.
