StephenPink Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Hi all, Anyone using the UWP version of AirServer? Due to AirServer no longer supporting their Windows 10/Desktop Edition version, and in increasing number of YouTube/video playback/performance issues, we have been looking at moving to the UWP version. They provide the guide here: https://support.airserver.com/support/solutions/articles/43000596797-mass-deploying-airserver-windows-10-desktop-edition to avoid the Microsoft Store requirement, however I cannot seem to get this to work, I just get the below error: Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073CF3, Package failed updates, dependency or conflictvalidation. Windows cannot install package F3F176BD.AirServer_2022.7.29.0_x64__r1wcd7sb8tzge because this package depends on a framework that could not be found. Anyone else managed to deploy it successfully - or seen that sort of error before and figured it out? Thanks, Stephen
bknaggs Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 You need the VCLibs package installed as well. You should be able to download them from here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/developer/visualstudio/cpp/libraries/c-runtime-packages-desktop-bridge. I've not installed this version of AirServer but here is my command to install the Remote Desktop store app so you should be able to copy it and apply it to your environment. Add-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online -packagepath 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.RemoteDesktop_10.1.1042.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.AppxBundle' -DependencyPackagePath 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.NET.Native.Framework.1.7_1.7.25531.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx', 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7_1.7.25531.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx', 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.Services.Store.Engagement_10.0.17112.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx', 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.VCLibs.120.00.Universal_12.0.30501.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx', 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00_14.0.25426.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx' -licensepath 'Z:\Applications\AppX\Remote Desktop\Microsoft.RemoteDesktop_8wekyb3d8bbwe_ac90e080-5720-aec3-8953-8127f0a3fd11.xml'
StephenPink Posted October 31, 2023 Author Posted October 31, 2023 (edited) Thanks for that - have tried adding the VCLibs manually beforehand but doesn't appear to make a difference; PS Microsoft.PowerShell.Core\FileSystem: Add-AppxPackage -Path .\Microsoft.VCLibs.x64.14.00.Desktop.appx PS Microsoft.PowerShell.Core\FileSystem: Add-AppxPackage -Path .\Microsoft.VCLibs.x86.14.00.Desktop.appx PS Microsoft.PowerShell.Core\FileSystem: Add-AppxPackage -AppInstallerFile https://download.airserver.com/uwp/desktop/x64/AirServer.appinstaller Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073D19, An error occurred because a user was logged off. bknaggs Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 By the looks of it you need a newer version of VClibs - 14.0.30035.0
bknaggs Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 How did you get on? We've come across some issues with the MSI version this week so might be looking at deploying the store version instead.
StephenPink Posted November 10, 2023 Author Posted November 10, 2023 Still no joy - can't seem to find a newer VCLibs version, and still no response from support. Very frustrating.
bknaggs Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Go to this site - https://store.rg-adguard.net/ Search for this URL - https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9nblggh52639 You should then see a list of the AirServer package and all dependencies including newer version of VCLibs available to download direct from Microsoft URLs. 1

You absolute legend - the link in there did the trick, I was able to install via command-line. Thank you! How did you find that site?? Cheers, Stephen
bknaggs Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 A post on here I think but years ago so I can't remember for certain. Glad to hear you've got it working.
lmgtfy Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Hi Stephen, Any chance you can share on here or via PM the full command line script as I can't seem to be able to download the dependencies needed for AirServer to install. Thanks
bknaggs Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 The instructions on this page worked for me - https://support.airserver.com/support/solutions/articles/43000596797-mass-deploying-airserver-windows-10-desktop-edition I'm sticking with the MSI version though as there are too many things that need customising separately with the store version.
