Assembly "Clicker" recommendations?

Hi all,

 

Assemblies are now being hosted in two places during the school day whereas previously it was just the main hall. With a docking station in the new venue and a PC in place currently in the hall we're needing a "plug and play" USB clicker for slideshows/presentation with no software install needed (if it exists) for when staff dock their laptops on the docking station in the new venue. Any recommendations?

Always Logitech when comes to clickers

Used to be the Kensington Wireless ones but they

added a sliding black on black on/off switch where the thumb naturally rests and people can move it

Moved the receiver storage position to behind the battery case instead of a spring loaded hole on the base

 

If you can get the old ones they are very reliable, last about 5 months on battery with the receiver out of the base, indefinitely with it in the base and no on/off function.

This is what they had in the hall when I left work. No complaints about it, except for the number of times I had to replace it because one or other of its pair had gone missing.

 

As I recall they were paired one to one so the handset (sender) of one could not be used as the partner for a receiver from a different pairing (although it seems so long ago now that perhaps I am recalling a different make?)

Yes I love logitech. We use an R500 for the main hall but wanted to see if anyone had a good recommendation.

We have a Logitech K400 wireless all-in-one keyboard / mousepad in our main hall. You can use the arrow keys for slide presentations and it has media / volume control right on the keyboard, handy for adjusting the volume of videos.

Remote presenter (clicker): 1 key for forward 1 key for back.

Keyboard: Many (potential) keys for functions.

 

Clicker is the better option for the (potentially) flustered and IT challenged individual taking assembly.

 

*Often both in my experience.

Always ALWAYS used the Logitech R400 ones. They lose them ... but cheap enough to replace....especially when I recharge them the replacement cost. Being pretty much idiot-proof helps as well.
