Onedrive file on demand and save space

Hi all,

 

Silly question about Onedrive, but here goes.

 

Have a user who has tons of files and folders stored on a laptop in her documents folder. If using Onedrive to sync these files and folders and save space on her laptop, I presume setting up onedrive as file on demand and save space, will push the files already in her documents folder to her onedrive instead, using the file on demand and save space option ?

Files on demand and storage sense work great - I went fairly aggressive on how often files are dehydrated.

 

Will they push the files?

This would be 'Known Folder Move' I have found that it didn't work where we had folder redirection turned on.

We kept redirection in place, but set it to an environment variable thats set up in the same policy.
