DSAGEY Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Hello, We used to have Ergo Free2Teach where we were able to upload bulk users and edit bulk users. We have removed this software and upgraded to NetSupport Schools, but you are unable to bulk create users. Does anybody know of any free software to bulk create users? I need to create 60 users (EYFS going into Year 1), I also need to edit 60 pupils (Year 1 going to Year 2) as I need to add individual passwords. Thank you
timbo343 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) I'm still using Mikey Magic's AD user bulk upload, can be downloaded from here: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/how-do-you-do/187529-mikey-magic-technologies-active-user-manager.html CSV upload and does what you want it to do for creating users. Im sure a powershell script will be able to do the passwords for you. Edited July 22, 2023 by timbo343 1
jthompson Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Old, but still use it from time to time when creating sets of exam accounts and so forth. https://wisedataman.com/account-management-spreadsheet 1

DSAGEY Posted July 23, 2023 Author Posted July 23, 2023 Hello, I have tried this - I'm doing it directly on the server but I keep getting "Failed - Creating User: Access is denied."

jthompson Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 There's a dll that ought to be bundled with that spreadsheet that you'll need to register on the machine that you're running it on. You'll then need to be running the spreadsheet with a user with suitable privileges to create users etc. Maybe try run as admin when launching Excel, too.
