File and Folder Access Logs

Good morning everyone,

 

Does anybody know if there is a way to tell whether or not a particular account accessed a particular folder on a given day please?

Does your classroom monitoring software have something built in for this (or give it away by logging window titles), worth a look? Otherwise generally it needs to be turned on in advance, it's not straightforward to audit either as it just writes to the event log - I've heard third party software can do it much better but I've no experience with it.

The classroom monitoring software is a good shout but unfortunately we think this did\didn't happen in the Mac suite where we don't use it.

 

I'll check event logs but don't know if we have auditing as I'm still quite new in post and inherited setup.
