Hi all

 

Wondering if anyone has had any experience in using the above software - we've been asked to use it to join an activity, and staff have planned several lessons around it.

 

The software doesn't seem to respect our proxy settings even if I set them at system level with winhttp as I can see it trying to get out on 443 on our firewall (which won't work, it's blocked upstream at county), so that's one issue. The other is it seems that even if I put it on mobile hotspot it gets past the first launch screen but then hangs on "Downloading UNIVERSE" at 2.8% for a while before coming back with the same unhelpful generic "UNIVERSE installation has failed" error. (Update - it seems the download is extremely sensitive to the connection, as soon as it drops one ping it stops. I have managed to get it to download on our test internet line but still no luck with getting it to use a proxy).

 

It also seems to ask for admin every time you launch it..

 

If anyone has managed to get this working, I would very much appreciate some pointers.
