ITGURU Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 I have one Dell AMD Server which i inherited from a school as part of the Trust, and is my love hate relationship with dell! I recall when i first upgraded the server to 2019 and enabled the Hyper-V role there was a boot loop issue which got resolved eventually. I'm now trying to upgrade the server to 2022, and whether I install clean or run the upgrade from within 2019, as soon as I enable the hyper-v role it BSOD with CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT The server remains stable on server 2022, however as soon as I enable the Hyper-V role and it does it's reboots, I get the BSOD. Any ideas?
Aprice Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 Is the Server's firmware up to date? I've seen mention of a similar issue with intel that a firmware update was the posted fix.
ITGURU Posted May 24, 2023 Author Posted May 24, 2023 All up to date from the firmware/driver download on the Dell site.
