NetworkGeezer Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I have to put a WEP key (don't ask) into a device which only takes hex and not alpha numeric characters. Do I have to do a ASCII to hex conversion for each character of the existing key so that I can enter it into the device? Anyone who has used the ASC() or CHR() in BASIC or Excel will know what I mean.
Ric_ Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 There are loads of WEP key generators on the web that should do the trick. Google is your friend I think I used http://www.andrewscompanies.com/tools/wep.asp when I had to do something similar.
NetworkGeezer Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 See IT Witch: I'm not afraid of asking 'dumb' questions  Thanks Ric_ BTW Is there any particular reason for the underscore or is that another stupid question
