andyunitednet Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Hi. I have a trolley of laptops that turn into tablets and the pupils use them a lot. There is a maths web site where they want to use the screen to type in the figures while in tablet mode but the on screen keyboard keeps appearing, stopping the on screen typing. The maths site is time dependant, they have a limited time to answer the questions and the on screen keyboard defaults to letters and not numbers. Is there a way I can disable the on screen keyboard using GPO? They cant do it logged in as pupils locally as they don't have permission to the settings on on the machines. Thanks in advance. Andy
LeMarchand Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Take a look about 1/2 way down this page: https://winaero.com/disable-automatically-switching-to-tablet-mode-in-windows-10/ Pretty sure I've used the ConvertibleSlateModePromptPreference key to alter the behaviour on a home machine that I wanted to do the opposite (stay in tablet mode).
