LeMarchand Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 Anyone using these iPads as a sign-in book? Somehow, despite me forgetting to remove the proxy (which happened when we changed supplier/filter in December) they have been working OK until recently. There is a "working to fix a problem" banner on the web version but, since removing the proxy to effect updates, the software on the pads is showing as Offline whilst Safari is fine. I did have to hotspot to do the update, though the school iPads update OK, so it could be our filter (though why they still seemed to work earlier in the year is a mystery). Anyone experiencing similar problems?

LeMarchand Posted June 7, 2023 Author Posted June 7, 2023 Yes (pretty much). It turned out that Apple must have added some new addresses that needed whitelisting. By default, these got shoved into "Streaming Services", which only certain users have access to, by our filter. We only found this out when our MDM lost its ability to install apps! Filter now rejigged. Until next time Apple make changes... 1
