Google Store Blocked by Admin

Apparently we're blocking our users from accessing store.google.com. I've checked our Google Workspace and can't see anything relating to Google Store. Google Play is allowed, and we can get to that. Bit confused!

 

Anyone else seen this issue?

Does the block page look the same as/similar to pages you KNOW to be blocked?

Yeah, it's the standard Google Workspace "This service is blocked by an administrator" page. If I use Incognito, where I'm not signed in with my work Google account, it works fine.

When I looked after a network, I (mostly) used the filtering solution that came along with our service provision (Iron Port, if I remember correctly)

 

I categorized the reason for the block, and had the reason echoed on the block page (games, graphic content, blocked after staff request, etc)

 

Is there any more information on the block page that will help you track down the cause?

It's not a web filter block page (Smoothwall, Lightspeed, NetSweeper) It's a, this service is disabled in Google Workspace, page. I've checked all the services in our Google Workspace and can't see anything related to the Google Store.

My guess would be that it's governed by the age-based access settings. Admin > Account > Account settings > Age-based access settings > OU.

 

Testing quickly here, store.google.com will result in

You don't have access to this service. To request access, contact the administrator for your organisation’s Google services.

for users in OUs where that settings is "Some or all users in this group or org unit are under 18", whereas the site is available when signed in as a user in an OU where it's set to "All users in this group or org unit are 18 or older".
