mahmad Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Hi, Im trying to create a bookable resource (20+ laptops) using O365. I have over 20 laptops in a cart at a school in which I would like staff to be able to book the entire cart of laptops individually. I have not done this before so any suggestions or alternative methods to do this would be helpful. If a shared calendar is the way to go, do I need to first create a resource on O365 admin? Thank you in advance for your help.
Alis_Klar Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 I have this question too. Is Microsoft Bookings the way to go these days?
E_G_R2 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Many ways to skin a cat!!! I've created a MS Form that populates a Sharepoint list. A Power Automate then sends an approval email to IT. If approved the list is updated and the user gets a conformation. Another Power Automate checks daily to see it the item has been returned.
slugshead Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 We use the sharepoint list/power automate method (Similar to E_G_R2 above) for certain daily bookable items (not it hardware). We've gone down the route of sending a confirmation Teams message to the user. We also use this for anything that's a designated resource in o365 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/blog/power-apps/office-template-book-a-room-now-available/ I am planning on rolling this out in september for bookable IT kit. https://snipe-it.readme.io/docs/requestable-assets
