Morning Chap/Chapettes

Recently been a few break ins around us and started to get me a tad worried.

Looking into CCTV systems theres so much choice these days. Does anyone recommend a good middle of the road? Did think Ubiquiti as what i've used for work in the past but can be expensive.

I live in a medium sized bungalow so wiring should be easy though the loft, probably only need 3 cameras.

This sounds like a good size project to try out using Raspberry Pis as CCTV cameras, if you fancy figuring out the setup:

I'd suggested a Raspberry Pi Zero, a Pi Hut custom CCTV case, camera module and some kind of lens - around £60 total per camera for parts. You might need to add some kind of PoE adaptor, and of course you'd then need a PoE capable switch of some sort, plus some kind of local server (or possibly a cloud server).

Did some quick research as ideally (should of said this in first post) want them compatible with HomeKit as we have a couple apple TVs and apple Home all setup.

Did see a brand called Arlo but not heard of them before and prefer to stick to well known brands.
