bjohnny42 Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Hi All, We have an ageing infrastructure on premis and were looking if we can make some efficiencies in using either / both Google Drive or Microsoft 365 the default storage location for our on premis Windows systems instead of 20 TB of storage in our SAN across home drives and shared drives. Using the syncing tools that are out there or the onedrive applications to present a drive letter on windows PCs to some users who aren't willing or able (old software which is necessary to still be used) Anyone have any positive / negative experiences they are willing to share?
Michael Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 For many years now I've favoured Google Drive over OneDrive, but that's just my experience. You get 100TB of pooled data as standard with Google Workspace, but you can buy more as required! Google File Stream also gets around the mapped drive issue (for free), given many OneDrive users use OneDrive Mapper or similar. 1
