Popular Post FragglePete Posted March 15, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 15, 2023 Just had the e-mail from the 'adjudicator' after applying for the break clause. It's been rejected. I'm going to try and remain professional here, but, F*** you ESS, F*** you ParentPay Group and F*** you Montague Private Equity Group - while I remain working in Education I'm going to ensure we remove anything to do with these companies and ensure we never use anything to do with them in the future. ....and breathe...... this is a safe space right? Mako Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Sympathies. I haven't heard about my case yet but I hold no hopes. Moving to Bromcom later this year, the Trust is willing to foot the bill regardless of the outcome because we just want rid. 1
AlistairB1983 Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Sorry to hear that, though perhaps unsurprised to hear it. There was a chance that ESS's shady business practices could have been reigned in, but sadly the 'powers that be' decided to completely water down their response and so we end up where we are - appeals being rejected and ESS trying to backhandedly get others to re-sign up for another 3 year contract by not properly explain it and charging an excessive levy on year 2 & year 3 of existing contracts. But at least this means Arbor, Bromcom and all other MIS' providers will start to get more of the money that would previously have gone to ESS. Personally I've managed to convince SLT here to look into Arbor especially with their 'Pay for One' offer, so hopefully will soon be amongst the others who have managed to escape and stick the proverbial (and literal) two fingers up to ESS.
ASA-Simon Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Did they give any justification for rejecting or was it just a flat out no? I did consider applying for it but it would have locked us into changing MIS around Easter next year. With the offers from Bromcom and Arbor it doesn't matter so much.
