layercake426 Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I have a sound card problem where the drivers seem to be corrupt; when I install the drivers from the cd they install but have no effect on the system. The pc has just been reinstalled from a WDS image. Does anyone have a solution or program to clear the unused system drivers as I think this is the problem due to the amount of drivers on the image?
rhyds Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 What is the sound card? Does it need the XP HD audio hotfix to work?
Michael Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 You could try deleting the sound card from Device Manager and force Windows to re-detect and re-install the drivers.
