Good Afternoon All,

We have an issue where, the print server keeps being shown as 'server offline' but only on certain laptops, there is nothing in the event viewer to try and diagnose the issue, and it doesn't seem to affected by roaming as a lot of the staff roam so to speak.

The only way to fix this that we have found is to restart the print spooler, and sometimes can be fixed by turning the wi-fi on and off again.

We use PaperCut as our printing solution, but would expect this to be more widespread if there was issues with PaperCut

Is there anything else I should be looking into?

I have deleted and re-installed the print drivers, cleared out the printers folder out, but cannot seem to permanently sort the issue.

Could it be something like DNS?

Any help is appreciated :)

Ohhh, I'm glad it isn't just us then!!

No help I'm afraid, just moral support. The annoying thing is this has happened as our Papercut Deploy has stopped working so adding manually is the backup and that has become unstable as you point out.

Looking further intoit, it seems to affect staff that roam, but only if their laptop has been imaged since the change of DC.
