GriffTech Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I am trying to recover files from a user's machine. I've had absolutely no problem transferring multiple folders over to an external drive. I running into an issue with one particular folder, long story short the user has all of their files in a OneDrive folder that they only ever used locally. I receive the 0x800700780 error message when trying to transfer the files. I also cannot open about 95% of the files. I've taken ownership of the folder, scanned for issues etc. My question is, are these files just showing up still because the recovered drive thinks it's still connected to OneDrive or are these legitimately corrupted. Every data recovery software I've used doesn't even acknowledge the files exist despite them taking up 95GB of space. Thank you in advance!
