jblackburnHWGA Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Is there a way to run a report to see all assignments set on any team in the last 7 days? We want to try and spot departments and teachers not setting assignments in teams
TechMonkey Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Stumbled across this page a bit ago https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/education/deploy/configure-assignments-for-teams Second step outputs assignments. Not a smooth process but something to play with if nothing else comes along.
jblackburnHWGA Posted January 23, 2023 Author Posted January 23, 2023 I found a way. we use Locker to make the teams and accounts. there's an assignment report feature. I've got an excel doc that lists them all! I'm going to Power Bi them into something useful

ozydave Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) Yep we use salamander soft which they setup an assignment report which runs every night. This I then drop into Power I Does what we need The Bi report can be filtered by class, teacher etc. Edited January 23, 2023 by ozydave 1
titch Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Yep we use salamander soft which they setup an assignment report which runs every night. This I then drop into Power I Does what we need The Bi report can be filtered by class, teacher etc.Have you got an example of what your power bi dashboard looks like and roughly how you're doing it? Would love to see how that works. We currently have salamander dumping the file on SharePoint but it's not the nicest to look at and work with
jblackburnHWGA Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 I've not made it yet My plan is to create a few tables. One that will be line graphs showing department over time with number of assignments plotted. the user would select the departments they want to see the second would be a bar chart showing department numbers of assignments with a selectable date range. You would then be able to drill down into the department to see the department members numbers. Does the salamander dump show the description of the assignment? I've got a meeting with them next week as Locker isn't currently doing a few things we want it to like insights and Apple sync
titch Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Yep it does show that. Happy for you to have a look over teams if you like but obviously don't want to send the file over in its current form.
jblackburnHWGA Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 no thanks but thanks for the offer 1
ozydave Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Basically, after the salamander assignment report runs it copies to a oneDrive share. Then in Bi I created a dataset from that assignment csv and created the report visuals from that dataset. Once setup, as soon as the new assignment report is copied to OneDrive Bi updates I'm not brilliant with Bi but it does what we need at the moment Cheers 1
