Jaan Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 As a admin user, i can see a students historical home address via the little 'edit pencil' next to their email address. I'm trying to add this ability to a role we have here, but i can't find the permission i need. Here's the icon i'm trying to make appear on the role in question (taken from Bromcom's public support page) The support page: https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/how-to-view-the-student-details-profile-page/#:~:text=Moving%20the%20mouse%20pointer%20over,Additional%20Details%20or%20Previous%20Names. Mentions permissions the role already has. tried the good olde cookie clearing trick! Anybody got any pointers before i book a ticket.......

Hi Jaan I'm certain that the permission you are looking for is found in the Framework Module of Roles & Permissions, under New Student Details>Profile>Basic Details>Save (please see image). A lot of Framework permissions do work alongside others so if granting the above permission does not allow users to Edit the Basic Details for a Student (the next time they log in), please let me know. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
Jaan Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 This did fix the issue. i wanted to give the user read only access to historical addresses. The only way i see to give them access to historical addresses is via the edit pencil, which as you have explain requires edit/save permissions. Thanks for this

Thanks for this Thanks for confirming that it worked Jaan. Yes due to where the Previous Address is located they will also need access to Edit. An alternative if you would prefer users not to have this access, might be to build a Report and include Previous/Past Address as a Data Item. Kind regards, Bromcom Support 1
