Excel Sort immediately reverts back

Hi all,

 

Attempted to add a filter to a spreadsheet, which failed to sort by value.

 

Removed the filter and opted for custom sort, to accomplish the same thing, and noticed that Excel was sorting then immediately reverting back to orginal order.

 

The numbers that i'm attempting to sort are derived from formulas, pulling numbers in from other sheets.

 

I saw the following posts on another forum:

 

=SOMEFUNCTION('CurrentSheet'!A1) was changed to =SOMEFUNCTION(A1) and data was able to be sorted. Not sure why exactly this is the case but in case someone has the same issue/problem they may come across this.

The problem is, his reference was contained within the same sheet, yet mine must reference others, therefore I cannot remove the sheet reference to remedy the sorting issue.

 

Can anyone advise?
