Adobe Premiere Pro & OneDrive

Hi all,

 

This is a very bespoke issue so I'm unsure if anyone would have come across it, but thought i'd ask!

 

So we use IAMcloud to map our students/staff home folders to Onedrive. It's a great tool but we have come across an issue whereby Premiere Pro will not load the preferences as a result.

 

If you open premiere pro before IAMcloud maps, it opens. Once IAMcloud maps the folders, it stops working and says the user data cannot be loaded.

 

Has anyone come across this issue? is there a way to move the preferences or anything to that effect?

From using OneDrive, IAmCloud and Adobe here at our school, everything that Adobe uses really should be on the local user profile. Adobe hates redirected appdata and online files, unless you’re using their Adobe Cloud services.

I thought as much, how do you do this? do you just not use iamcloud for premiere pro users?

We only use IAmCloud to map SharePoint libraries. Users folders (Desktop, Documents, etc) are all redirected to OneDrive, standard local user profiles, no redirected user appdata, which I believe is how Adobe want it. Staff know not use to save Adobe files on SharePoint.

Ah okay, do you use onedrive for business and map directly without iamcloud?

Yes OneDrive for Business. I map OneDrive via PowerShell, pointing to the local OneDrive folder on the computer. However the purpose of this is for Hosted SIMS.
