rush_tech Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) So I opened up Solus to a patch 27683? What is this for? I wondered. So off I went to have a look and ended up here on an article called 'Preparing for SIMS Next Generation: Installing and Configuring SIMS Services Manager and SIMS Data Exchange' I'm assuming prep for moving to a cloud based SIMS? Does anybody know anymore info? It does mention logging into SIMS ID, I'm assuming hosted SIMS platform Edited November 18, 2022 by rush_tech
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Here is a link to their progress so far and their plan going forward. Some of our schools are already using "Next Gen" take registers and the pupil's contacts slice too. The take registers slice writes back to the SIMS 7 database as well. 2
ASA-Simon Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 The take registers slice writes back to the SIMS 7 database as well. Is this just another similar product like go4schools then or will it eventually become a fully cloud based product like Bromcom and Arbor?
Edu-IT Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I believe it’ll eventually be fully web based.
Norphy Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I believe it’ll eventually be fully web based. Eventually, the sun will go supernova. Want to place bets which will happen first? 4
Squelch Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I wonder if they'll bring Data back again for this one? I bet the poor person who's job it is to market this "Next Generation" is wearing a red shirt too. 1
