Smoothwall Slowdown ? Especially in the morning.

After some thought process , Decided to roll back Smoothwall to our May 2022 version from backups ( Quite a few smoothwall versions behind )

 

Noticed a dramatic speed increase ! and is working as it should.

 

If anyone is noticing a problem on the latest version, go back before September, Possibly July

 

Interesting but.....

 

Any major difference you are aware of in the settings from May compared to the setting you were using before the restore?

 

Was this a backup restore or a system snapshot?

This was a full Vmware backup restore . May 2022 was a full snapshot

 

The only changes/thing i had been trying to figure out was Radius authentication for a wifi ssid so we could use a transparent proxy , Never could get it to work. ( This was in June/July 2022 )

 

Smoothwall tech remoted in , But at the time the filter was running "ok" so couldnt really show what it was doing. He had a look around and said it was fine.
