Epson EB-X49 Not responding to remote control.

Morning, I have an Epson EB-X49 printer (out of warranty) that isn't responding to the remote control.

 

So far I've tried.

 

Known working remote

Checked the IR sensor setting is on (even turned them off and back on to see if they would kick into life)

Done a complete projector reset

Updated firmware

Googled a lot

 

I'm stuck and thinking it must be faulty, any ideas as ever gratefully accepted!

Hi! We have one of these. My question would be is there another potential new infra-red device that may be interfering?

I know what you mean, we've had that with an ancient IWB that was throwing out IR.

I've removed it from class and have it back in the office so no interference.

is it something to do with the projector ID consult the manual

any chance you have the wrong Epson remote:) I've had pupils swap remotes.

I've tried a couple of working remotes from the same model as we have quite a few of these in school. It's either faulty or I'm missing something really obvious.

I also had a pupil put a sticker on the remote sensor of a tv!

If you have tried the steps in the manual for "If remote is not working" and you've reset the IR sensors and ruled everything else out then yes it sadly sounds like it has become faulty. Maybe an overheat or it's been hit by something.

Wouldn't surprise me, I've just been told by the teacher that one of the kids was flicking the isolation switch on and off prior to it failing so possibly something blown inside.
