Public Folder Replacement - Contacts

Hello,

 

I am retiring an on premise exchange environment. Public folders are still used for sharing contacts and groups.

 

I was wondering if anyone can suggest alternatives please? Maybe something in Teams?

 

I have considered using the Global Address List but would also like to explore other options.

Can you create a mailbox and share the contacts like you would a calendar and access it that way? I cannot think of any other suitable way forward.
