Barton Peveril is a thriving Sixth Form College with excellent outcomes for students and outstanding facilities. We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and innovative leader to join the College to lead our dynamic IT Services team in the delivery of a proactive service for students and staff. The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership for the ongoing development and use of the college’s IT services and technology for learning.

 

You will provide high quality operational and technical infrastructure systems and applications to support students, staff and internal business functions, whilst minimising or preventing the occurrence of IT incidents and problems which could adversely impact on the business of the College. In addition, you will develop and implement new systems, equipment and software to meet the needs of the College.

 

You will lead a team of five in the IT Services team, supporting 1,200 Windows desktops, 2,200 Chromebooks, an extensive WiFi network, Google Workspace for Education, and virtualised servers running a variety of applications on VMware.

 

You will have strong technical experience and skills to support a diverse and developing IT infrastructure that incorporates Windows and Apple based resources. Technical experience and skills are required to support Windows 10, Mac OSX, Chromebooks, mobile devices, BYOD, Google Workspace for Education, and Windows and Linux servers.
