Oriel High School is now oversubscribed with over 1400 students and was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2016; it has excellent facilities and is a dynamic learning community. IT Technician Required ASAP The salary range is £20,444.00 - £20,852.00 (Grade 5) plus Fringe allowance The Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent IT Technician with good communication skills for the above post. The post can be full time, all year round, with 25 days holiday and bank holidays OR Term Time Only (salary prorated). This equates to a 37 hour week. This is a pivotal role and the person appointed will work closely with staff across the school and at all levels. The successful candidate will work as part of an effective team. You should be calm under pressure and enjoy dealing with children. A methodical but flexible approach is needed in this busy team environment. A good level of I.T. skills is essential. A full induction and support programme will be provided. Key Tasks include: To assist and support the IT Network Manager in his duties: To install, support and test peripherals in line with policies set out by the ICT Network Manager/Business Manager. To install, support and test PC’s in line with policies set out by the ICT Network Manager/Business Manager. To install, support and test software applications in line with policies set out by the ICT Network Manager/Business Manager Install and maintain network cabling throughout the site.
