Colindean2000 Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Hi all I’ve worked at a school for 15 years and have been Network Manager for the last 10 years, I’m fully self taught but am now thinking that should i wish to leave and take a step up i should probably have some sort of officially recognised qualifications. Could anyone recommend a starting point of what kind of course I should look into and then perhaps where to go after that? Many thanks!
steve999 Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Id imagine you should be looking at ITIL or Prince2 perhaps.
TechMonkey Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 On your CV, application form and/or cover letter you can put achievements at your job and often this is more credible than certs. Depends on the employer but doing is often viewed higher than theory. So managing an Azure AD for xxx number of users, setting up Intune for yyy devices. I'm not saying don't do the certs but more do them for the personal challenge and satisfaction. Unless you want to get in to a whole new field, say cyber security or cloud management.
