elsiegee40 Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Seriously! BETT says it will be charging people to register from March 4th! Show dates are 29 March 2023 10:00-18:00 30 March 2023 10:00-18:00 31 March 2023 10:00-17:00 Registration doesn’t mean you have to attend. If you think it might be on the agenda then make sure you register in time.
DrCheese Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 And the connect@Bett thing now means that we'd have to prebook meetings with suppliers rather than just wandering around/seeing what's worthwhile? Needing to register early is silly, as I often don't decide the day I'm going until the week before depending on upcoming workload.

One problem with the connect@BETT system is that it allows those without stands to still do business for far below the cost of exhibiting. This may cause problems later I suspect.

Needing to register early is silly, as I often don't decide the day I'm going until the week before depending on upcoming workload. You can still wander round. It also means that if you do want to see someone you can make sure you are passing the stand when they are not tied up. I've been using the various versions of Connect@BETT for a few years now and it has been quite handy. This latest one looks like it could be better on things like the map.
DrCheese Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Ah ok - I read it as that they were stopping you from bumping into stands for ad hoc meetings & everything had to be booked through them. (Assumingly so they can take a cut of whatever business is organised...)
NorrthDown2 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 What time is BETT opening this year - I thought it was 10 which the official time shown. However, when I look at the agenda, there are talks at The Arena at 9am every morning. I'll probably be in London round 9 anyway on the Friday, but would be useful to know.
jcooke16 Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Don't know but I did in fact email earlier to ask - I wondered if the earlier talks were for a specific Leaders audience or something like that, but it isn't clear. A separate concern I have is that on the registration form, unless I'm prepared to pretend that I have no influence at all over purchasing, I have to select a price range for my "organisation's annual purchasing budget for education products, solutions and services". I'm sure there used to be an opt-out for that particular question - and I'm not sure I should personally be providing that sort of whole-school information. I know it's effectively a trade show, but even so... There are options for non-buyers to sign up without providing the above info, so I might choose that route - though you don't then get access to connect@bett, for one thing.
jcooke16 Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Had a reply re opening times, from [email protected], to the effect that The Arena is open from 9am (on the general admissions ticket) but the doors open to the actual exhibition at 10am.
NorrthDown2 Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 I take it that as I have registered, that's all I need for a ticket. I can't seem to print a ticket with a QR code on it like previous years.
Mako Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Someone verifies your registration and you'll get another e-mail with confirmation, it says "We'll email you your badge in advance of the event."
KK20 Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Thats ok. Ontime registration (free) has closed, but LATE registration (free) is now ok till the 17th. Be still your beating heart! https://bettuk23-registration.personatech.com/ 1
NorrthDown2 Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Is there an app this year with floorplan or has anyone seen a floorplan? Useful to check before I go, so I know where certain stands are.
NorrthDown2 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Could someone take a photo(s) of the floorplan when they get there tomorrow and post it here- I'm coming on Friday and would find it helpful to know where certain firms are before I get there. Tx 1

adamcreen Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Now downloadable as a PDF from the app: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4otgruq2gbzsix8/bett2023.pdf?dl=0 4
KK20 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 there is a BETT app with the floorplan. due to data and WIFI being inconsistent it didnt load up 100% of the time. There were still paper ones which I used. Sometimes the search on the app timed out so it was quicker for me to fold up a map and look.

Yeah I thought it was stupid that the map wasn't cached within the app.
Dos_Box Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Don't forget we have pizza on the stand about 1pm today, although the Domino's app has been telling me it's being prepared for about 15 mins now!
