Office 2021 LTSC ADMX

Quick question (and hopefully one that has a quick and easy answer)...

 

I've seen that Office 2021 LTSC ADMX are backwards compatible with all Office versions back to Office 2016 (apparently they are the same with just a few new ones added).

 

If I add the latest ADMX will it overwrite any older versions but keep all the original settings?

 

Or should I just copy them, choose no to overwrite and just keep the new ADMX?

Overwrite them. You won't lose any settings - the settings are not stored in the ADMX.

 

I have a mix of 2016 and 2019 on site while I finish migrating - I didn't need to worry much about updating the ADMXs.
