Yes - and PP know what it is too.

Basically if you run the report in SIMS that PP uses (can't recall the exact name but it is something about phones list) and look at the output in front of some of the phone numbers you will find some spurious characters in there.

ESS reckon it is to do with copying and pasting data in rather than typing it. Anyway once you have the report you can identify the records affected.

00XXXX

07944330212

The is the bit that shouldn't be there

  1. Open the student record in SIMS
  2. Delete the phone number record listed in the spreadsheet (you can't see the extra characters in SIMS)
  3. Save the record
  4. Re-add the phone number – YOU MUST TYPE THE PHONE NUMBER NOT COPY AND PASTE
  5. Save the record

Once you have found all of those you should be good to go.

PP haven't been any help and are requesting a XML file.

The report you are referring to is it ParentPay 2020 by any chance. This we weren't able to run but can now and it's still failing as above.

I am going to try what you mentioned above.

I believe foreign numbers can cause this issue as well, it doesn't like +44 etc on the beginning, or if the numbers are too long.

You could do a sims report of all numbers and then dump it into a spreadsheet. Filter for any numbers not starting 0 or over a certain length.
