MrKJLS Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Hello Geeks, Over the summer holidays, we've new PCs and interactive TV installed. In these rooms where they have interactive TVs (old & new tvs) the pcs are losing the Intel Audio for the speakers in the TVs as we are running the audio over the HDMI cables. The only way we can get these back is to reboot the computers which isn't always convenient mid-way through a lesson. I've updated the drivers on the computers to the latest version (UHD 730/101.3413) and the problem is still happening and tried different cables. Does anyone know of any settings or hacks we can do the either the tvs or the computers to stop it from happening? Thanks as always!

Seen this one a machine we have but I'm afraid I don't have an answer either as yet. It only seems to happen every month or evening two months for us.
chazzy2501 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Rather than the automatic drivers installed by Microsoft use the Intel GRAPHICS driver from Intel. (you may have done this, with you updated drivers) For belt and braces uninstall the old intel audio first (and delete driver) ALSO use the "show hidden devices" in device manager and remove any disconnected versions.
robintech Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Think we had the same issue but somehow resolved itself, remember I could replicate it by stopping the AudioEndpointBuilder and sometimes start it remotely if it had stopped working Didn't follow up as fixed itself but had this powershell in the ticket stop-service AudioEndpointBuilder -Force start-service Audiosrv get-service -Name Audiosrv | Select-Object * get-service -Name Audiosrv -DependentServices
MrKJLS Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 Thanks everyone, i'll check out your answers
