KarlGoddard Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Morning all, hope we're all well and ready for the fun and games next week! Just posting to see if any of you guys have any idea about a strange issue I've started having with some MS Wireless Adapters. We've started putting the adapters in a few rooms which have Surface Pro's and interactive panels and all of which have worked well so far. I went to install a few more this week and when tested with a Stone (and a Lenovo) laptop they wouldn't connect unless we disconnect from any connected SSIDs. I've done the usual update wifi drivers, update firmware on the wireless adapter etc but all to no avail. If I disconnect from wifi, connect to the wireless adapter, then re-join wifi it works as expected. Any ideas?
SYNACK Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Have you tried updating the display adapter firmware through the Wireless Display Adaptor app on a machine that will connect and have you tries older wifi drivers. Miracast is a massive pain to diagnose in windows. 1
chazzy2501 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 The clients (laptop) graphics driver and wifi drivers need to be looked at or reinstalled. Also Ryzen based (Vega) devices are really poor at Miracast. 1
