Error Cloning to smaller SSD using Easeus Todo Backup

Having bother with blue screen after cloning

 

So there is a 1tb drive in a laptop (working fine)

 

Took it out and put it in a caddy connected to main computer

 

Used Todo Backup software to create a file on my hard drive of the backup

 

Took out the hdd from the caddy

 

Replaced it with a 256 SSD which was formatted with GPT (as is the 1tb)

 

Used the Browse to Recover to clone the file to the new SSD

 

Opted for Optimise for SSD

 

Backup took about 1 hour

 

Put back in laptop - Blue Screen......

 

 

Any suggestions welcome, as I think I am not the only one...
