wonder why they didn't put the Ukraine govt into an EU datacentre, they have an application to join and there are more datacentres in EU than UK?

It was already known the UK azure regions were crowded, when I did my AZ-104 the instructor was explaining that was the reason it would take them so long to build resources compared to AWS/GCP

This issue is not a UK only issue for MS its way broader than that, the headline is also misleading in another way as the government in the Ukraine had already migrated a large chunk of their infrastructure to a private facility in Poland from memory.

 

The broader issue for MS is one of ageing infrastructure and the same issue that every manufacturer/ service provider that needs silicone is facing and that is there is none... They have capacity to expand but nothing to expand with!
