Does anyone have / know of a lifting device that can be used for removing / installing smartboards onto walls?

We do quite a lot of our own installs with some of them weighing over 80kg I'd ideally like something to assist with getting them up on the wall - scissor lift or something similar.

I use our site staff...

To be fair, we have an excellent Site Staff team, who are always happy to help. In return their IT issues are fixed quickly.

Think that may also add a considerable ammount of time to the install, and can't imagine getting the screen in position and into the hoist thing is the easiest! Hate to think what they cost.

I do get help from the site team, would just like something that does the majority of the lifting for us. at 80kg I normally try and have 3 people to do the lift, if i can get this down to 2 doing it comfortably with an mechanical aid that would be ideal.

We use a trolley like this to get it to the height then it is just a small lift onto the bracket. Also we used to use it for lifting SAN's to install in our server racks.

That looks like it might do the sort of thing we want with a couple of people steadying it.

I did find this one which looks idea, but american only https://www.e-zspreadnlift.com/detailtvf.htm

I had a look at some of those, but they don't really have a way to secure an expensive screen to them, and pushing the weight limit of a lot of them.

Yeah you'd need a strap or something all the way round, but you're right 80Kg would be pushing the limit on most.

Are these actually smart boards at that weight, or are they Interactive TV installs?

Do you do a lot of them? If so it is probably worth the cost of the other lifters.

They are the smart branded interactive LCD screens - looking at the 86" model for this year which are 77kg each. Think the e70's we're removing from some rooms are a similar weight.

Might be worth ringing around a few install companies and asking what they use, or ask a few friendly companies on here to ask their installers.

Sounds like a bit of a unique piece of kit so will be £££'s and the thing is if installing them is part of their core business they will pay those £££s for the kit (and will not tell you, just ask if they can quote for the job)!
