Hi all,

I have inherited an Aruba Instant Access wifi system at a secondary school. This is running a cloud controller from around 2017, "type 205", version 6.5.3.2.

I've had to add a new AP to the system but do not know how to do this. Googling it says you click on a [+] icon under Access Points when signed in to the web controller. There is a [+] option, but this simply expands the list of access points, rather than being an 'add' button.

Under "AP Alerts" the new access point is detected, but says "AP Register fail because of image mismatch" - presumably some sort of firmware is too old or new on the AP.

Can someone point me in the right direction to get this working? I'm needing to bypass trial and error of working this one out as the school want it working yesterday :(

The access point is a IAW-205-RW, and is a second hand eBay job, which has been hard reset.

TIA!

Yep, sounds like the firmware versions are different, can you upgrade the new or existing AP/ APs to get them on the same build?

I can give it a shot...

That said, overnight it seems to have sorted itself out after being left alone for hours!
