Roaming Profiles tmp NTuser.dat

Hi all,

 

I know the answer is to stop using roaming profiles and we are going to just in the meantime we've got our roaming profiles to be minimal space since we're using folder redirection. We can get the profiles to a consistent 7MB which logins are nice and quick. However it seems to duplicate the NTUser.dat file into a tmp file (as seen in picture) randomly it'll create another at times so there will be 5 in there each taking 7MB of space causing slower logins. If I open as a test in notepad I can see that it is the NTUser.dat

 

Is there a way I can stop it creating tmp files or stop them being roamed - apart from this its working perfect speedy (even over always on vpn)
