I was going to put this in the good news thread but thought it deserves a thread of its own.

 

Brilliant to see the bravery and confidence. He's only 17 too.

 

For context I'm not a Blackpool fan, I'm a Preston North End fan so they are our most important derby games. But this is great news and hopefully more will be able to open up too.

 

For more context I'm a straight male but anyone in the community has my support.

Unbelievably brave as it's been 32 years since the last pro footballer came out while playing in the UK.

 

I hope it gives others confidence to be themselves, especially young fans who have had zero representation in uk football.
