Paxton desktop reader USB redirection

I am trying to redirect the Paxton desktop card reader to do USB redirection to my remote app hosted in AVD. Has anyone managed to do USB redirection of this locally or in this kind of setup.

Do you need to have the app remote hosted? Can you not have the server remote and just install the Paxton client on the machine with the reader?

I could do that but then I would have to update the end user device with updates and it would only work in the Office. I want to get it working inside wvd.

we use paxton

 

we have done it 2 ways...

 

1) keyboard wedge reader - emulates keyboard when you swipe the fob - con: You have to be clicked in the box when you swipe

2) have a dedicated reader in the office (reader 2?) of an ACU maybe as a second reader against the acu for the door into IT?

I finally got this same information out of Paxton. Not sure why they don’t just do the keyboard wedges as it a lot more flexible. Where did you get your reader from?
