Hi all,

Have a user who has Office 2016 Pro Plus installed on their laptop. They cannot use Outlook as the message is asking to update from version 16.0.4266.1001 to 16.0.4600.1000. I have tried the 'install updates' option and also checked out any updates it says are required but the message still appears.

They use Outlook 2016 that links to their Office 365 account.

Any ideas please ? Apologies if it sounds vague but any msi updates recommended as well as windows updates that has been suggested hasn't worked.

Just wondered if anyone else came across this.

Thanks all

Many thanks.

Tried that but it says:-

"There are no products affected by this package installed on the system".

How about installing the proper Outlook 365 that goes with the 365 account (provided it's at least an A3 licence)? Just sign in to office.com and Install Apps.

Have you got the correct 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) version?

Or is your Office installation is Click-to-Run or MSI-based (as it sounds like the 'Install Updates' options is only for Click-To-Run so MSI updates wouldn't work)?

If it is Click-To-Run is automatic updating enabled?

Thanks.

Yes I noticed that. I double-checked and it is certainly the MSI version !!!

It is Office 2016 Professional Pro Plus that is installed locally.
