Warwick_Tech Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Hi All, It's one of those 'difficult to google' questions - When in 'extend' the login screen (on startup and 'lock') only shows on 1 monitor, of course this leads to confusion as it makes sense to have it on all monitors, regardless of 'main display' I don't think there's a way around this, but thought I'd ask anyway in case someone has a solution. Edit: We force a background, but the other side is always black
synaesthesia Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 That's standard - it might be worth trying also setting a background colour. 1
Oaktech Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 It's weird how some places are fine about and some places get confused! I don't think it's possible to extend it, I've asked Google and come up with nothing. Two of my sites it's never an issue, the third, it caused confusion weekly! I set a sky blue background colour at that site which is a main colour in the logon screen image and that seems to resolve people being confused about pri/sec monitors, or even if the monitor is on!
Andrew_C Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 One of my monitors comes 1/2 on. Left hand side of monitor shows left hand half of the image. It confuses ME!
Warwick_Tech Posted May 10, 2022 Author Posted May 10, 2022 That's standard - it might be worth trying also setting a background colour. I have that set for the theme, but it's tempramental in it's application - Is this an old GPO setting somewhere?
Guest Guest Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Yeah this is default for windows 10 now, it happens on mine on logon and when the workstation is locked. I think there is script out there that can add a background colour
