j224 Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 We're on the free Mosyle plan and it's been working fine for years with little intervention but I've just come to install a new app and found it's not being pushed to the iPads. I can load the Mosyle Manager app on the iPad and in 'Device Info' it has a tick next to Enroll, Supervision and Internet. If I click Force Push, it says Success! I renewed the Push certificate a couple of weeks ago. The Mosyle portal shows that they haven't connected/updated apps since November and the Photoshop Express app is 3/4 full and says 'Loading...' but doesn't get any further. I tried rebooting the iPad but it returns to the same position of loading and stops. Any ideas?
j224 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Update - Photoshop Express has now finished loading/installing, but the new app I pushed this morning isn't appearing yet.
j224 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Another update - I've also tried connecting to my mobile hotspot (to rule out our school filtering being the issue). Still no commands getting through.
StevieM Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Have you accepted the latest T&Cs in Apple School Manager (dated 31st March)?
j224 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Has your apps and books token expired? Nope. I got a new one on 25th April and uploaded it to Mosyle.
tmoon-mint Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Did you definitely renew the push certificate before it expired and with the same Apple ID? If you re-enroll one of your devices do commands start coming through again?
j224 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Did you definitely renew the push certificate before it expired and with the same Apple ID? If you re-enroll one of your devices do commands start coming through again? Yes, it was due to expire on 27th April and I renewed it on 25th. It's been a while since I had to do any enrolment. Do I go to the device in Mosyle and use the 'Remove device' command? If it's not receiving the device info or getting app installations pushed out to it, then that's likely not to work either? They were all enrolled via Apple Configurator, rather than Apple Manager. If I manage to un-enrol one, I'm guessing I'll need to go back to AC2 to re-enrol?
tmoon-mint Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 If they were enrolled using AC you can just open Settings > General > Profiles & Device management and remove the Mosyle MDM profile. You can re-enroll either by selecting your shared device group in the Mosyle dashboard and typing the URL into Safari or if you have the Mosyle app installed on your devices just type the enroll code into that. 1
j224 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Thanks! That did the trick. And I've noticed that the Mosyle profile on the iPad says 'Not verified' on all of the iPads, but now says 'Verified' on the one I've re-enrolled. Not sure what caused it to become unverified in November? But we don't have many iPads, so I can quickly re-enroll them all. Thanks again.
tmoon-mint Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 According to one of my devices a Go Daddy certificate for *.mosyle.com expired 21st of October 2021. Mine also says not verified but at the moment it doesnt appear to be causing me any issues.
