OWA (Chrome browser) - opening audio files within an email.

Had a call from one of our reception staff complaining about this...

Obviously we've been transitioning from I.E. 11 and now they open their email in Chrome (3rd party email provider but web based using 'outlook.office.com').

they are saying that previously voice mail messages that would be emailed to them (once opened in I.E. 11) would have an audio file which they just clicked on and it played (in Media Player I presume).

Now when opening the email in Chrome, the attachment has only 2 options, 'Download or Save to OneDrive'...

I'd rather not start messing around with extensions if possible, so is there a native way to get these to play from within an email in the Chrome browser?

Unfortunately these are sent as .WAV files.

I'll check if it's an option, but I imagine the phone system produces .WAV files natively and wouldn't be able to convert them into .mp3.
