Virtual SmartZone- Essentials upgrade

I'm relatively new to ruckus.

 

One of the schools i support has a ruckus system and i've been asked to do the upgrade to the system is still licensed till the end of the year.

 

carried out a cluster back up and config back up just trying to find the ximg file to upgrade to highest possible version

 

current version is 5.1.0.0.496

running mix of the following AP's T610 and R510 anyone know

 

just seem to struggle with searching the Ruckus website find the file to download

It's behind a sign in wall, which you need to have a support contract in place to access.

 

netctrl recently hooked us up with accounts to get in there when we bought our new ruckus system

Hello, with T610 and R510 you can go all the way up to 6.1 if you wanted to which is the latest release. The recommended version is however 5.2.2 - which is two releases behind (5.2.2 > 6.0 > 6.1).

 

You can go straight from 5.1 > 5.2.2. If you wanted to go up to 6.1 you would need to go 5.1 > 5.2.2 > 6.1.

 

All files can be found in the Ruckus Support portal. After logging in if you scroll down you should see various platforms - select the vSZ option and then select the 'Downloads' tab. There is a filter on the right that allows you to select a particular FW version.

@Net-Ctrl thank you for the help the upgrade went well was caught out buy the F/W on Ap not being upgraded from previous update but all appears to be working
