Relocation: A relocation allowance may be available where the employee’s new home is reasonably close to the workplace and the former home is not. This is a vital appointment for our award-winning College. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Facilities, our Head of ICT manages a team of five other ICT professionals in supporting, maintaining, and improving our Windows Server 2016 network of 3000 devices -primarily Desktops and Laptops running Microsoft Office 365. This role will suit anyone looking to strategically lead ICT projects across an organisation - the postholder will enjoy ample opportunity both to incrementally improve - and to creatively transform - our systems, with a clear focus on improving students’ learning experience whilst maintaining and improving cyber security: we are aiming for Cyber Essential Plus accreditation by July 2023. Southport College was formed through the merger of Southport College with King George V Sixth Form College in January 2018. Our 270 staff (FTE) provide a dedicated post-16 Further Education learning environment to around 4,000 learners, from Southport and beyond, giving excellent support to our students and apprentices, in the setting of modern facilities and a beautiful Victorian seaside town.
