Ratcliffepg Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Try to make this work on Chrome..... plugin is installed, extension is installed, java is enable for Chrome... but no joy.... basically never passes the plugin test....... Works on IE, but with IE nearing end of life... trying to move forward....
paulkerton Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Which provider? Lots of people do online ECDL tests...
mavhc Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Can you switch to a different provider who's not living in 2005? Does anyone have recommendations? 1
paulkerton Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 I've downloaded their specs, and they're terrible. You need a better provider - frankly.
Ratcliffepg Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 Whoops provider is... https://ecdluk.psionline.com/
free780 Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 OMG. I started in IT in 2008 and was dealing with Java in IE for ECDL. They need to use a html 5 version its 2022 and all major browsers do not support it. You *may* be able to use IE mode in Edge but will have to keep Java up to date which is a pain.
KK20 Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 (edited) we use https://ecdluk.psionline.com/ in chrome - have done for years, we don't have java JRE installed on any of our machines so it cant use java client. Im sure it moved to HTML5 years ago. We use desktop 365 office. Anyway, for us we have a GPO that installs extension leneiifcmnfminekdbgbofkdddlkhcep;https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx this works for us and has been reliable for some time. Ratcliffepg Posted March 21, 2022 Author Posted March 21, 2022 I resolved this, by Using Edge chromium IE Mode for this https://ecdluk.psionline.com
