Hi!

I have been having some issues with Command Reporter not pulling out all of the data fields from my reports in SIMS, which then leads to errors in PBI/Power Query. I'm assuming that CR is the issue because when I go into SIMS and run the report manually, then go into PBI and refresh, the error disappears. I have seen this issue before with other dashboards I manage, and I was wondering if anyone knew why this would be happening, how I fix it, and/or if there is a better and more efficient way to link SIMS and PBI so that the reports run daily?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried running the Command Reporter batch file manually and looking at the success/error messages?

Thanks for your reply, Martin. I have run the bat file manually, which has now caused an error in Power Query. No errors came up in the bat file though

Don't know if it helps - but I've got a specific user created in SIMS that the scheduled reports use to extract data for PowerBI.

This user has full access rights within SIMS and has been running happily for months.

Does the user signing to CommandReporter have the permission to see the missing fields in SIMS?

Thanks. I'll double check to make sure.

I have also noticed that the error occurs here:

Maybe I'm assuming that the issue is with CR when it's not? Sorry, I'm just trying to troubleshoot in as many ways as possible.

Sounds like the user being run might not have access to the LAC field if it's not been returned.

If you login to SIMS with the user account you are trying to run the report via CommandReporter, then go to Reports and Design the report you want to run, you can preview the information which will show if your missing access to the fields.

You might find you need to give the user the same rights as the Data Exporter user

Good point. That account needs the "Third Party Reporter" permission.
