rbjames Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Hi - I don't know whether anyone has had this problem but I’m using xibo 3.0.6 on a NAS using docker. I’m trying to pull in a twitter feed using the Twitter module but I’m getting the error below in the logs and nothing is being displayed in the box. Unable to reach twitter api. Client error: GET https://api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=from%3Astmartinsprep%20-filter%3Amedia&result_type=2&count=4&include_entities=1&tweet_mode=extended&lang=English resulted in a 403 Forbidden response: {“errors”:[{“message”:"You currently have Essential access which includes access to Twitter API v2 endpoints only. If yo (truncated…) I have set up a developer account and entered the api details Twitter has provided but I’m now stuck. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Richard
John_P Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I think since Elon Musk has taken over he has disabled this feature. 1
localzuk Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Are there any posts within the last couple of days? The API only presents posts within a pretty short time-period. EDIT: I should've read the WHOLE post... Yeah, this seems to be an API error. They've probably broken it entirely.
MatthewL Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Third party API integrations on Twitter have or are in the process of been disabled I was informed this morning.
localzuk Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Twitter APIs are still there, but the rules are more restrictive. Our Xibo Twitter integration is still working fine. But, looking at our account, we have "Elevated" access, rather than "Essential". You can apply for Elevated via the developer portal apparently.
